Tony Burgess

Tony Burgess is a Canadian writer born in Toronto and currently residing in Stayner, Ontario. He began his career performing poetry in the early 80’s as an opening act to punk bands and poets, like Lydia Lunch and Johnny Thunders, as well as innumerable local acts. He has also exhibited his paintings, including a solo show at the Xiphotec Gallery on Queen Street and interior and window designs for the notorious Toxic Empire. Tony began publishing fiction in book form in the late nineties and has since branched over to screenplays. He has also recently written and performed a musical review entitled `Die! Scream! Die!’. Tony Burgess has also published criticism, fiction and poetry in numerous national and international newspapers, journals, periodicals and magazines.

Tony lives in the small town of Stayner with his wife Rachel and their two children, Griffin and Camille.
