Alison Delory

Alison is a Halifax-based freelance writer and editor who contributes mostly to local and national newspapers, magazines and web sites. Her short story Outbreak was a finalist in the Atlantic Writing Competition. Alison is also a guest lecturer and writing tutor in the Department of Communications at Mount Saint Vincent University. She is editor of the university’s alumnae magazine and as a graduate student there, has won awards for her poetry and blog.

Based on the experience of watching her children transform a cardboard box into a myriad of playthings, Alison wrote her new bestselling children’s novel, Lunar Lifter, which was published in April 2012. She’s also edited fiction and nonfiction manuscripts.
